Organic vegan meals by Café Gratitude and sister restaurant Gracias Madre now available at the Hollywood Bowl Outdoor Amphitheater for the 2015 Concert Season! We were there a couple of weeks ago for the Playboy Jazz Festival, and were thrilled to find so many vegan options at Market Cafe. There were about half a dozen entrees, plus two desserts. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful, and we would totally order everything we had again (although next time we look forward to trying some of the other things!). Anyone who has dined at Gracias Madre or any of the Cafe Gratitude locations will recognize the affirming titles of their dishes. ;-)

A couple of the other restaurants & concessions stands we stopped by had only one or two clearly marked vegan options, so we recommend visiting Market Cafe for the best selection. The 2015 Hollywood Bowl Dining Guide also indicated that a Gracias Madre Vegan Picnic Basket for Two is available for pre-order (scroll to page 11 for description of the vegan picnic basket). As of June, 2015, the contents of this picnic basket include Tempeh "Chorizo" Tortas (black beans, avocado, pico de gallo, pickled cabbage, & cashew crema), Housemade Tortilla Chips with Guacamole and Roasted Tomato Salsa, Pumpkin Seed Caesar Salad with Cashew Caesar Dressing, and Gluten-Free Fudge Brownies with Cinnamon Chocolate Sauce for dessert. Sounds amazing!

Thank you to everyone at the Hollywood Bowl, The Patina Restaurant Group, Cafe Gratitude, and Gracias Madre who worked to make this happen. Music lovers who also happen to be health-conscious, environmentally-minded, and/or animal lovers will be thrilled to find so many delicious, cruelty-free, organic vegan dishes to enjoy under the sky and stars at the Bowl.
